What can I say???...Hmm… We met 7 years ago in a chapel somewhere
in Baesa, Q.C. (I forgot the name though), we we’re both hungry that time because the program (CFC-SFC) was taking so
long that when they finally served the snacks it became the ice breaker for the both of us! Because if we only have one thing
in common that would be “EATING”! Yes! We both love to eat, but at that time the only food available was “Turon”
so we have to make the most out of it and enjoy (we didn’t have lunch that day). That was the first time I made Charmie laugh (that’s her name in case you didn’t know!) Because I made a comment while eating and
saying “Wow sobrang gutom na ako, kunwari lechon na lang to!” then taking a huge bite on the turon. From then
on we started calling each other having long talks on the phone ( bat ganun no??? we could talk for hours kahit paulit-ulit
ang topic), then after a few days she called me again and she told me that her mom (Tita Cora…ay Mommy na pala (^^,))
will be admitted sa capitol, she will have an operation and she asked me if I could drive for them? (Siyempre YES ako agad…pogi
points agad yun!). So we went there and she started to introduce me to everybody, and they were like all eyes on me because
I was new to them, at that time Mitz (Yes si Charmie din yun…bale nickname kasi nya yun) has a boyfriend then…
Actually from the hospital I needed to go to cubao to get tickets at Dagupan Bus Lines, because at that time I was
bound for Baguio to attend CFC-SFC Singles Weekend Awakening, so I asked Love (our terms of endearment) if she could accompany
me to get the tickets which she did so we had the chance to talk on our way. She’s really fun to be with, madaldal din,
di sya nauubusan ng kuwento, and one thing I like about her also is that she will always find time to listen to your stories,
especially when you tell funny stories or kid about something, she will laugh so hard knowing that she’s not pretending
that she got the joke. Man! I love the way she laugh…every time I see her laugh it always brightens my day. Now back
to my story, after I got back from the city of pines we started to go out, day by day we got to know each other, and also
day by day I started to fall in love with her, I even ask the almighty to give me the opportunity to be with her, to love
her, to care for her and in return I would give up all my vices which includes smoking, drinking and other stuff that you
wouldn’t want your children to be involved in. In other words my request was granted and we’ve been together since
then… wow! Imagine after 7 years lalagay na rin kami sa tahimik, I am so grateful because Nget (short for "panget",
sya pa rin yun, it's our terms of endearment din kasi....) played a big part para magbago ako at tumalikod sa bisyo, sabi
ko nga sa sarili ko “Siya na ang babaeng pakakasalan ko!” We all have the perfect dream girl photographed in our
minds that we always say to ourselves “she’s the girl for me, it’s either her or off to the monastery I
go!”) But the funny thing about life is that we spend most of our lives looking for that perfect someone but instead
of being with him/her we always end up with somebody else…but in my case I got something better! I always believed that
“pag hindi naibigay ng nasa taas ang gustong-gusto mo at iba ang nakuha mo, it doesn’t mean that the almighty
has forsaken you, it only means that he gave you something better instead! In my case that’s what I got when the almighty
introduced Mitz into my life.
As years go by, our love for each other grew
stronger, although sometimes having differences is unavoidable, minsan umabot din kami sa away na akala namin hindi na maaayos,
but we held on to each other and we tried to learn from our mistakes and just move on. Kung sa pagiging understanding marami
niyan si Mitz isa yan sa mga hinangaan ko sa kanya, kung paano naging understanding yan ganun din katapang yan…ay sauce!
When I mean matapang, talagang palaban yan, yun nga lang minsan medyo na sosobrahan (hehehe) but still she can stand-up for
what she believed in. Isa pa sa mga nagustuhan ko sa kanya is yung mapagmahal siya sa mga bata, I stand as a witness for her
continuous support for her pamangkin (Apple & Niņa, and kay Sam, Jay and Church), sometimes yung trabaho nang pagiging
Ina parang siya na rin ang gumagawa, that’s why I am confident that she will be a good mother sa magiging anak namin,
and I am pretty sure kung kanino nagmana sa pagiging maasikaso yan (kanino pa e di kay mommy cucca!). I can go on for days
just to tell you the many wonderful things about her, kaso baka mainip lang kayo ^^,), for me one thing is certain, If you love someone you say it... you say it right then, out loud... or the moment
just...passes you.......
.....I love you Charmie!.........
So after 7 years of up hills and down hills, it’s time for us to end that chapter of our lives only for us to
open a new one as a husband and wife, “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody you really
love, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible”. So folks on the 10th of January 2006, we would be
honored to have you as our guest and bear witness to our sacred union. Thank you for visiting our website (would you believe
that our website was created by Mitz… pure talent amf! San ka pa?!) and I sincerely hope that all of you would be there.
God Bless!
